Three minute Friday 18 – When consent breacks
In BDSM there is a distinction between consent “violation” and “accident”.
In the instance of violation, consent is deliberately exceeded, disregarding what was said, mainly with the aim of gaining an advantage from the situation, carrying out a real instance of violence.
In an “accident”, on the other hand, the limit is exceeded unintentionally, perhaps for a lack of clarity, without even benefitting from the fact that it is exceeded.
In this video, starting from a survey about consent incidents I published a few months ago and which received almost three hundred responses, I’ll talk about how to manage consent issues and I’ll provide three advice for when something goes – or went – wrong.
